CLINICAL INDICATION

Tastylia Oral Jelly is a prescription medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. In some clinical cases, its active ingredient is also prescribed to treat the urinary symptoms of Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is an enlarged prostate gland.

HOW IT WORKS

The active ingredient in this medication is Tadalafil (20 mg), which belongs to a class of medications called PDE5 inhibitors. It works by blocking the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) enzyme. By inhibiting this enzyme, it relaxes the smooth muscles and widens the blood vessels in the penis. This process increases blood flow to the area, making it easier to achieve and maintain an erection.

Please note, Tadalafil does not create an instant or automatic erection on its own; sexual stimulation is entirely necessary for the medication to work.

HOW TO TAKE

Because this is an oral jelly format, it is designed for ease of use, especially for those who dislike swallowing solid pills. You should open the sachet 15 to 30 minutes before activity. Squeeze the jelly directly out of the flavoured sachet onto your tongue. Allow it to dissolve. No water is required. Let the jelly melt in your mouth completely before swallowing. It is absorbed quickly through the tissues of the mouth and stomach. You can take it with or without meals. However, avoid eating heavy, high-fat meals right before taking it, as this can slightly delay how fast it starts working. Never take more than one sachet within a 24-hour period. Taking more will not make it work better and significantly increases the danger of severe side effects.

SIDE EFFECTS

Most side effects are mild-to-moderate and tend to fade after a few hours as the medication leaves your peak bloodstream.

The most common side effects are headache, indigestion or upset stomach, flushing (warmth or redness in the face, neck, or chest), nasal congestion (stuffy nose), back pain or muscle aches (these typically show up 12 to 24 hours later and usually resolve within 2 days).

Priapism: an erection that is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours. This requires immediate hospital treatment to avoid permanent tissue damage.

Sudden vision changes: a sudden decrease or total loss of vision in one or both eyes, or difficulty telling colors apart.

Sudden hearing changes: ringing in the ears, dizziness, or a sudden drop/loss of hearing.

Allergic reactions: severe skin rash, hives, swelling of the tongue or throat, and difficulty breathing.

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS

There are a few hard medical boundaries you must look out for before using this drug:

The Nitrate Interaction - do not take Tastylia if you use any form of nitrate medication (such as Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide) commonly prescribed for chest pain or heart problems. Combining Tadalafil with Nitrates can cause an abrupt, life-threatening drop in blood pressure.

Heart issues - if you have had a heart attack in the last 3 months, a stroke or heart failure in the last 6 months, or if you suffer from severe uncontrolled blood pressure or unstable angina, you should not take this medication.

Alcohol and grapefruit - avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking this jelly. Alcohol increases your risk of experiencing low blood pressure, headaches, and deep dizziness. Grapefruit juice can change how your body processes the drug, making side effects more likely.

Pre-existing conditions - speak extensively to your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, stomach ulcers, bleeding disorders, or structural deformations of the penis (like Peyronie's disease).

STORAGE

Keep the sachets in their original packaging to protect them from moisture and light. Store them at room temperature away from direct heat. Keep the sachets securely out of the reach of children and pets.
